We have not had any students in ISS for TWO weeks. Because of this "GOOD BEHAVIOR" all students will be allowed to wear their favorite outfit Friday, 1-24-20. Follow dress code FOR APPROPRIATENESS. (EX:Length of skirts, no rips, no holes, no tears in pants, NO HOODIES)

The countdown is over! The millage vote will take place today at the Grand Prairie Center from 7:30 am. to 7:30 p.m. Bring a valid ID in order to vote.

Congratulations our Quiz Bowl Team for placing 4th out of 13 teams in the Quiz Bowl competition today.

Congratulations to SJHS for receiving high growth awards in literacy and math. Meekins was also recognized for high growth in math. The Office of Education Policy recognized schools for growth by region and two of our schools received the 2019 awards. Way to go!

A special thank you to all of our educational support staff across the district! We appreciate all that you do for the staff and students! Happy ESP Day!

Attendance Matters 206 students will receive a Dodge's certificate on Wednesday for good/satisfactory attendance. These students have been enrolled and present 95% of the school year so far.

This week students have been participating in Red Ribbon Week activities. Our theme for Friday is "Stay in the Game." Students may wear their favorite sports related apparel with dress code bottoms. (Remember hoodies are not allowed and jeans cannot have rips, holes or tears.)

Each month a department or group of staff members are selected for the teacher spotlight. Their picture remains in the halls for the entire month for all to see. Our September teacher spotlight included Ms. Rosencrantz and Mrs. Hudgins.

Where you unable to pick up a copy of your child's interim grades? If so, we will sent a copy home Monday with your student.

Students participated in our first FLEX DAY today. Are you interested in learning more about flex day and our learning management system NEST? Join us next week for an informational meeting. We have set aside two different dates and times. We hope you will join us.

We will dismiss early on Wednesday, September 4th for Professional Development. Dismissal time will be 1:15.
