Safety of Our Students Beginning February 20th, the Stuttgart School District will be implementing additional safety measures to protect our students and staff. Many of the changes will make access to our school buildings less convenient for all concerned, but we believe it is necessary in order to provide a safe learning environment. Some of the changes include: 1) keeping exterior and interior doors locked throughout the day, 2) stricter building access for visitors, 3) upgrading door lock systems throughout the district, 4) ongoing awareness training for students and staff, and 5) a stronger police presence by way of an additional school resource officer and/or local police. We will continually evaluate changes that must be made for the safety of our students. Dr. Rick Gales Superintendent Stuttgart School District
