Ables Proud to be Part of PAE Family

Meghan Ables has served the last two of her 20 years in education as Park Avenue Elementary’s Assistant Principal.  Ables spent her first 16 years at Stuttgart High School as a journalism and English teacher. She led the SHS cheer squad to two state championships during her duration as cheer coach. “Coming to Park Avenue and being a part of a thriving PLC has been such an awesome experience,” Ables said. “I love my PAE family.”

Ables was born and raised in Stuttgart, graduating with the class of 1998. She went on to get a journalism degree from Arkansas State University, then obtained her teaching license through the non-traditional program. She received her Masters in Educational Leadership from ASU and has over 30 hours towards her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Walden University.

After serving as 2016 Arkansas Teacher of the Year, Ables spent two years at the Arkansas Department of Education, working in public relations, family engagement, and teacher leadership under the Educator Effectiveness Division. “I have traveled around the state and seen a lot of amazing things in education. Park Avenue is a special place with a special staff that believes in all kids.”

Ables has been married to her husband Timmy for 16 years. They have two daughters, Jessie and Stella. Jessie attends SJHS and is a junior high cheerleader. Stella is four and attends Park Avenue Elementary PreK. They love spending time outside together as a family.
