Dear Students and Families,

We have completed the first full week of AMI lessons both online and by using packets. I want to thank you for your understanding as we work through some of the difficulties we have had getting everything up and running. We are monitoring the technical difficulties and will update the students through email and social media accounts should the need arise.

Our teachers are ready to "see" their students this week. SJHS will use the video platform ZOOM to meet with students online. A ZOOM schedule has been emailed to the students and will be in place for the remainder of our AMI days. More information can be found on our Facebook Page.

I want to remind everyone that there are multiple avenues provided to access all AMI assignments and stay up to date on all information.

  • Nest- The link can be found under the "FAMILIES" tab on our SJHS webpage. http://www.stuttgartschools.org/o/stuttgart-jr-high
  • Students can access the student webpage under the student tab from the SJHS website. They must login using their school Google account.
  • Packets- Will be available outside the main entrance under the SJHS awning. Assignments for April 8- April 17th will be available April 7th after 2:00 p.m.
  • Social Media- We are now using three social media platforms. (Please see below.)

Reminders:

  • Students need to check their email daily. This is how we are sending them information.

  • Each teacher has a school email and is posted on the schools website under the "Staff" Page. The link can also be found below.

  • If there are technical difficulties at anytime during AMI lessons, we will monitor and adjust as needed.

Please do not stress about the assignments. This is a time of change and uncertainty for everyone. If there are parts of an assignment that you do not understand or get, pass over it until you can get help. Students can email their teacher and ask for clarity during their weekly ZOOM meeting. If a staff member doesn't reply within 24 hours, contact me.

I encourage you to set a schedule that will work for you and your family. We do not expect you to recreate a 6 hour school day from 8:00 am-3:00 pm. The teachers will be very flexible with the assignments and timelines.

Continue to stay safe and know that we are here for you if you need anything. Do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time.

We are in this together.

Amy Marek
