📚💙 REAL MEN READ is Back at Park Avenue Elementary! 💙📚
February is right around the corner, and we’re excited to invite dads, grandpas, uncles, brothers, and all positive male role models to be part of our 16th Annual Real Men Read event at Park Avenue Elementary!
This special program gives men in our community the chance to visit classrooms and spend just 15–20 minutes reading a story to our students. It’s a simple act that makes a BIG impact—showing our kids that reading matters and that strong role models value books and learning.
📖 What you need to know:
✔️ Adult men (18+) are welcome
✔️ Books are provided, or bring a favorite from home
✔️ Reading takes place during February
✔️ Sign-up forms are due Monday, January 26
✔️ Turn in your form by February 12 to receive a complimentary event t-shirt (first come, first served!)
If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a difference in a child’s school day—this is it. 💙

Look for this fundraiser brochure to come home today! Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to add a second canopy to our north playground and to add picnic tables under both canopies. These spaces can not only be enjoyed by students seeking a shady spot to read or visit during recess, but they will also be utilized as outdoor classrooms.

Please take note of these important updates: 🕖 Students report to class at 7:40 AM – students are tardy after 7:55. 🚌 Dismissal times: • Bus riders & walkers: 2:55 PM • K–2 car riders: 2:55–3:05 PM • 3rd–4th grade car riders: 3:05–3:15 PM 👉 See documents included for the full description of arrival and dismissal procedures.
