Bauman is extremely involved at SHS as Student Council President. She was selected for the 2019 Homecoming Court and Girls State.

Bauman knows what an honor it is carry on the Miss SHS title. “I am so proud to be a Stuttgart Ricebird and so excited that I get to represent my school in this way,” she said.

Houghton is the daughter Kelly and Bryan Houghton. She is a SJHS Cheerleader, a member of Fellowship of Christian Ricebirds, and part of the gifted and talented program. Houghton will always remember this night. “I was shocked and excited. I am very excited for the experience,” she said.

Merritt Coker and Jaxson Robinson hosted the pageant. Many students showcased their talents, including Cam Shelton, Jackson Brewer, Drew Leder, and Leslie Alexander, who all provided special entertainment throughout the night.

The Student Council, along with its advisor Michele Kerksieck, plans and hosts the pageant each year. Senior Hayden Davis, Student Council Representative, was the chairman of this year’s pageant. Community partners, school staff, SHS clubs, and students make this special event possible.
