Seniors received local scholarship packets this week


Counselors Angie Sherman and Kim Lisko met with 9th-11th grade parents last night to discuss courses, schedules, graduation requirements and more for the 2024-25 school year. Those unable to attend the meetings can view the presentation on Rooms later today.

SHS FBLA students competed in the district competition Monday, qualifying for the state competition in graphic design, sports and entertainment, Future Business Leader, and word processing. Congratulations, Ricebirds!


Congratulations to senior TJ Beard, who was voted as this year’s DAR Good Citizen by his classmates and faculty!


The Ricebird bowlers are headed to state! A second-place team finish for the girls and a third-place team finish for the boys qualified both squads for the state tournament. A big congratulations to Heather Evans for finishing second overall in the girls’ division and KeMaurion Caldwell for finishing second overall in the boys’ division. Heather Evans, Ella Coats, Addie Watkins, KeMaurion Caldwell and Chance Brownell also earned All-Conference honors! #gobirds

Mark your calendars for our upcoming parent meetings on Monday, February 12!
Ninth & 10th Grade - 5:00 p.m.
11th Grade - 6:00 p.m.
Both meetings will be held in the SHS Library.


The mandatory cheer meeting has been rescheduled for 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, in the SHS cafeteria. Students that have signed up for cheer tryouts must attend the meeting with a parent or guardian.


Cheer tryout signups have been extended until Friday, January 26! The mandatory parent meeting will be rescheduled.

Due to hazardous road conditions and continued low temperatures, the Stuttgart School District will be closed Friday, January 19.

Due to inclement weather, the Stuttgart School District will be closed Wednesday, January 17, 2024. We will continue to monitor the weather and roads. Daily decisions will be made on returning to school.
