Congratulations to the Ricebird cheer squad for racking up the awards at NCA camp in Jonesboro! SHS won a spirit stick on night one and six Ricebirds were nominated for All-American honors! Congratulations to Lauren Robins, Jacie Houghton, Sydney Crawford, Kendyl Horner, Emi McKinney, and Lathan Tolliver for their All-American nominations!

In observance of Juneteenth, the Stuttgart School District will be closed on Monday, June 19. SHS will return to its regular summer hours on Tuesday, June 20.

Congratulations to our 2022-2023 All-Stars! The Arkansas high school all-star games will be played June 23-24 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway!


Congratulations to Ricebird Ducky Banks for signing Thursday to continue his basketball career at Central Baptist College!


Four SHS students have received recognition for their accomplishments in computer science! Senior Evan Watson along with juniors Madison Holland, Kristopher Popejoy, and Emilee Simpson were selected as Computer Science Students of Distinction by the Arkansas Academy of Computing for the 2022–2023 school year. The CSSoD is an award program for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in Computer Science. The program, which is facilitated by the Arkansas Computer Science Initiative, is administered by the Arkansas Academy of Computing. Congratulations, Ricebirds!


SHS honored its retirees with a potluck celebration Wednesday afternoon. The faculty, staff, and students of SHS are incredibly grateful to Robert Hoover, Laverne Wofford, Carol Jo Lambert, Sandie Ragland, Debra Avery, and Freddie Taylor for their years of service and dedication to Stuttgart schools! Congratulations to our Retiring Ricebirds!
