DISTRICT CHAMPS! The junior boys basketball team was crowned the district champions Wednesday night with a 41-12 victory over Monticello! Congratulations, Ricebirds!

SHS had 4 students to place at the DECA SCDC competition in Springdale. Congratulations to: Carrington Thompson, 3rd place in Hotel & Lodging Management; Kaylin Lindsey, 4th place in Marketing Communications; Emily Mitchell, 6th place in Retail Merchandising; and Ainsley Noble, 6th place in Human Resource Management.

Congratulations to the junior boys basketball team on its 48-28 win over Star City in the semifinals of the regional tournament! The junior Birds will compete in the regional finals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in Warren!
Seniors with a 2.0 or higher GPA received local scholarship packets in their English classes today. Packets should be completed and turned in to Mrs. Sherman by 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28th. Any senior that did not receive their packet can stop by the counselor's office to pick theirs up.
Congratulations to the SHS Archery team on qualifying for state! The state tournament will be held March 4th in Hot Springs.

Junior Kathryn Skinner (282 out of 300), freshman Nathan Skinner (276 out of 300), junior McClain Derden (266 out of 300), and freshman Kaylee Logsdon (262 out of 300) were the top Ricebird shooters!
