Four windows will be open on the front with two additional windows open on the side for students and band members. The east side window is reserved for band members, while the west side window will serve students only.

CAFETERIA UPDATE!
Students may pay for their breakfast or lunch using cash or check. Families may also use https://www.ezschoolpay.com/ to load money onto a student's account.
No student will be turned away for lack of payment. Their meal will be charged to their account and a bill will be sent home.

Physical science students competed in the Mini-Metric Olympics Wednesday! Students worked in six events to make predictions and then measure length and weight of several items using the metric system. They definitely won gold! 🥇 #fortheloveofSCIENCE





Mr. Sherman's first period biology class studied surface tension today!


Please welcome Officer Holmes to SHS! He will be our additional safety officer to patrol our campus. The pictured gates will also be locked during the school day for the safety of our students. Officer Holmes will be patrolling our campus and helping to monitor students transitioning from the field house back to campus.





Art I students are studying the art of calligraphy and learning how to write their names in cursive!




September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the Ricebird and Junior Ricebird cheerleaders will once again cheer with gold pom poms in honor of those that are battling cancer and in memory of those that lost their battle. Be sure to come out and support the Ricebirds and Go Gold for Kids with Cancer!

Congratulations to Jesse Mateo for earning his Microsoft Office Associate certification! Jesse passed Microsoft Office exams in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint! He is pictured with SHS business teacher Dona Mulloy.
